LEPTOSPIROSIS

This is a kidney infection and the symptoms are not very obvious which make the disease diagnosable mostly at its later stages. The dog will look fatigued, might display pale-yellow eyes and weak swollen gums. Again, the infection is caught through unhealthy food. Don't let your dog chew bones found outside the home. Show your dog to the vet regularly once every two months, as a measure of early detection. This applies to all diseases. Once leptospirosis is confirmed, vets generally subscribe pencillin , but don't give it unless he tells you to do so.
