LEARN TO PICK UP YOUR DOGNever pick up a puppy by his neck. Small puppies are very delicate and must be treated with care. Carelessness might lead to serious injuries on the back and neck. The ideal way to hold a puppy is with both your hands. First slip one hand over the dog and let is slide under his chest between his front legs. Pick him up by using the other hand to support him with his hind legs tucked under the elbow of the same arm which holds the chest. This will suggest his entire body and he will be comfortable.
