FLEAS FLEASFLEAS

FLEAS

Fleas are small insects which survive on the surface of the dog's body. They may cause itching, irritation and rashes on the skin. Fleas can lead your dog to various diseases like tapeworm, ringworm etc. The remedy would include making him bathe with a selenium shampoo, powdering him with derris powder, available with druggists. A precautionary measure would be buying a flea collar from a pet shop and making him wear it, at least when the season for fleas is on. Keep changing the collar at regular intervals of 3 to 4 weeks. You can spray your dog with patent aerosol sprays, which will kill the fleas. Alternatively, you can buy flea powder and use it daily on your dog.
