FITS AND CONVULSIONS

Your dog will generally suffer these when his teeth are coming out. He can also fall prey to it if he is over excited, happily or sadly, or due to heat stroke. You will see that he is foaming at the mouth. He also might run blindly here and there. He might also lie down on the ground and move his legs vigorously. Try to pacify him by patting him and trying to relax him. Take him immediately to a cool place. Put a cold wet towel on his head. Speak softly to him. If nothing works, go to the vet; or give him a tranquilliser, commonly available in the drug store. A dog under a fit might not obey any of your commands and try to bite you. Be careful, if nothing works tie him until he reaches the vet.
