EAR INFECTION
If your dog is not bathed every day, he might get ear mites which live in the ear canals of dogs.
The symptoms are great irritation in the ears and you will see your dog always rubbing his ears. If the dog is light coloured, rashes could also be visible. You should observe that your dog is frequently shaking his head and scratching his ear with the paw every now and then.
This might lead to inflammation, haemorrhage and pus and the ear will start giving foul smell. If due care is not taken at this very stage, it might result in a
'ear canker', a stage to be avoided for the health of your dog.
Do attend to the ear infection problem at the earliest stages, as soon as you get to see the symptoms. Dogs who have long hair are more susceptible to ear infection due to insufficient air supply to the ears.
