CANKERThe disease is caused by an irritation of the ear and the symptoms include the dog trying very frequently to scratch his ear. Look for a brownish red discharge from his ear. You should clean his ear with an antiseptic lotion prescribed for dogs. But watch out for not hampering his hearing capabilities; don't go deep into the ear since it may his ear drum, injure showing symptoms like a pink grey ear and a foul odour. You need not go to the doctor before trying the home remedy which works very well in almost 90 per cent cases. Clean the ear for 2-3 days or coat it with baby oil. If the infection is deep-rooted, this remedy might not work and you should then consult your doctor.
